I started my career in Social Work and have worked in both Child Protection and Mental Health. I trained as a psychotherapist and have worked with a range people presenting with depression, childhood abuse, stress and anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and relationship difficulties, and work with both individuals and couples.

I also do work as part of Employment Assistance Programs for some businesses.

Areas of Specialism

Although I do all types of counselling and psychotherapy I have a particular interest in people with overeating and obesity, focusing on helping people to explore why they eat in relation to psychological problems and to help them to improve their self esteem and with that, their long term health.

Personal Approach

I use Transactional Analysis to underpin a lot of my work. I also using other approaches depending on the problem presented . This may be creative techniques or enablling clients to understand feelings through bodywork
